The Henderson Family Series

I’ve spent the last two days pulling my hair out, stressing over writing the blurbs for the rest of the Henderson Family Series. I know those little back cover copies are very important, but I really hate writing them. It’s so difficult to condense 70,ooo + words into less than 200. I’m grateful they’ll get a bit of a polish later.

Still, I wanted to get them done so that I can pass them along for you all. I love the messages and emails asking about the next books. Therefore, I had to write them to give you all an idea of what’s coming next. Though I’m busy working on the Henderson Family, I decided to self publish another project  in the Winter of 2015. I will give you more information on that next week (Yes, I will blog sooner than 4 weeks from now).

But for now, here are the blurbs for the rest of the Henderson men. Please, feel free to let me know what you think. Whose story pops out to you? The enthusiasm of readers it what keeps up my excitement when I’m struggling at 9:30 p.m. trying to reach my nightly 1000 word goal.

Loves Replay:

David Henderson will do anything to keep his family’s successful automotive dealership in the Henderson family. Including considering his dad’s suggestion to settle down and start a new generation to take over. When the one woman he ever considered marrying, but lost in a moment of youthful indiscretion shows up again, he’s  determined to get his second chance to make things right. Despite the fact that she showed up on his brother’s arm.

When Sandra Brevard’s job offered her the opportunity to move to a new city and rebuild an office devastated by scandal, she doesn’t hesitate to take it. But success includes partnering with David Henderson, the man who said he loved her then crushed her heart. He makes it clear that he wants her back, and she wonders if the personal pain is worth the professional gain.

Though they can’t deny the old desire is there, mistrust, jealousy, and deceit combine to try and stop their love from having a replay.

Making it Real:

After five years in prison, Kareem Henderson vowed never to jeopardize his life again. He’s started over by opening his own barber shop, and though business is good, he needs connections to take his shop from a place on the corner offering haircuts, to an upscale gentleman’s salon. He never thought the connection would come from the sexy female barber he hired six months before.

Patrice “Neecie” Baldwin escaped the pressure of being the perfect daughter in one of North Carolina’s most prestigious families to live life on her own. When family responsibilities call her home she fears going back will expose her to the pressures that nearly ruined her.  She needs a shield, and the tall, handsome, bad boy Kareem seems impenetrable. She offers him her family connections in exchange for pretending to be her fiancé.

Soon very real sparks ignite in their fake engagement. As they find their place in a world of class and privilege, they must overcome personal demons before making their love real.

 From One Night to Forever:

Aaron Henderson has never been one to sit still. That’s why owning a lucrative trucking company and traveling across the country is his ideal job. He’s got plans to combine his business with that of his college friend from Tennessee. Then a sexy singing waitress gives him one night of passion that becomes a permanent distraction.

Kacey Randall is tired of struggling as a waitress in her family’s restaurant. She’s back in school and ignoring anything that’ll keep her from graduating. Then the guy who was only supposed to be a one night stand sticks around and tries to convince her he wants more. But how can she trust Aaron, another trucker who’s big on promises and short on commitment. Especially when she learns he’s the potential business partner of her brother and nicknamed Mr. One Night Stand.

One night with Kacey has Aaron thinking of forever, but even he’s unsure if his wandering heart is ready to stay in one place.

Well, what do you think?
